  • RIS 34040 Patient Management in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (3 semester hours)
    • Methods of patient management in diagnostic medical sonography are examined with  emphasis on patient communication, clinical assessment, medical legal aspects, medical  records, emergencies, pharmacology, safety issues, ethics and critical thinking.
      • Prerequisite:  radiologic and imaging sciences (RIS) major.

THE MISSION OF THE DIAGNOSTIC MEDICAL SONOGRAPHY PROGRAM

The mission of the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program at 91¿´Æ¬Íø University is to educate diagnostic medical sonography students in the knowledge, skills and attitudes to become qualified, professional practitioners who provide quality service and care to the community and to prepare students for the changing needs of the profession. DMS Handbook - Early Release from a Clinical Education Course

  1. The clinical education courses of the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program sponsored by 91¿´Æ¬Íø University are completed upon documented achievement of defined objectives and competencies for each clinical education course.
  2. Because each semester has its own separate clinical objectives, students may not request early release of a clinical education course.
