For her internship with Nationwide Insurance, Emerging Media and Technology major Victoria Smith is working on automating reporting processes for the organizations phone, voicemail, headset and accessories department. She says all of her EMAT coursework has prepared her for this opportunity in some way, but especially the class Data in Emerging Technology.
Working in the professional environment is very similar to projects I have worked on here at 91心頭利. I used to be very shy of group projects, but I have quickly learned that group projects are the most effective processes in the professional environment. Not to mention, these projects give me the opportunity to meet great people!
The internship has solidified Victorias post-graduation plans: She hopes to earn a masters degree in data science and then pursue jobs as a data analyst/scientist.
