Fashion Academy - Summer 

The academy is a one-week program, contact department for dates, that introduces high school students to key areas in fashion design and merchandising. The Summer Fashion Academy will allow creative, motivated teens to explore their passion for fashion in a pre-college, summer residence program. Our mission is to inspire creative and resourceful fashion leaders.

The Summer Fashion Academy is for students who:

• Have completed their sophomore year of high school
• Are 16 to 18 years of age
• Are passionate about fashion
• Are interested in exploring careers in the $4 billion fashion industry

The Summer Fashion Academy is a one-week program that offers a carefully curated series of lessons and activities that approach fashion from multiple angles, examining both the design and business aspects. The program is every bit as fun as it is enriching. During the course of the week, students will work individually and in teams to complete a variety of creative projects.

ART ENRICHMENT grades K - 8

Classes offered Fall and Spring 

For eight weeks in our Art Enrichment classes, children grades  K - 8 will become art investigators to uncover their relationships with places, spaces, and objects.

By combining art studio activities with discussions of art as it relates to different time periods and cultures, students come to understand the world of art better. Students are organized by cross-age groupings and work with a variety of media to develop their individual artistic skills. Art Enrichment is a student-teacher education program at 91��Ƭ�� University.

Example activities include drawing, painting (acrylic, tempera, watercolor), printmaking, clay, and 3D sculptural materials.

91��Ƭ�� Intercollegiate Athletics Sports Camps provide opportunities for athletes of all ages to develop their skills in a fun, sportsmanlike environment. In addition to fundamental instruction, campers will be exposed to sport specific strategies and will have the chance to meet new people. Our goal as a Department is to offer sports camps that challenge athletes and promote individual improvement that will eventually lead to athletic success.

Full STEAM Ahead with LEGO® SPIKE™  (June Option)

LEGO® SPIKE™ is LEGO’s hands-on learning platform for amplifying children’s understanding of concepts for science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM). Campers will engage in hands-on investigation of STEAM concepts as they build with LEGO® elements and program with the intuitive SPIKE™ App.

Note: This camp is also offered July 13-16, 9-11:30 AM.

Suggested Grades: Rising grades 3–8

Dates: June 15-18, Monday-Thursday

Schedule: 9-11:30 AM

Exploring Robotics: Coding in Action

Campers will explore coding through hands-on activities with a variety of programmable robots, including mBots, Ozobot Evos, Edisons, and Sphero SPRK+. Participants will program robots to move, respond, and complete challenges while building computational thinking skills in sequencing, problem-solving, and logical reasoning.

Suggested Grades: Rising grades 4-8

Dates: June 29-July 2, Monday-Thursday

Schedule: 9-11:30 AM

Location: AT&T Classroom/Room 034 of Moulton Hall

Cost: $125 through May 11; $150 per camp after May 11

3D Digital Design for Augmented Reality and Printing

Campers will design 3D projects for printing and create interactive AR experiences using tools such as 3DSlash, Maker Empire, CoSpaces, and Merge Cubes. Each camper will also 3D print one project to take home.

Dates: July 6-9, Monday-Thursday

Digital Game Design

Campers will channel their interest in video games into designing and programming their own playable digital games. Using Construct 3, a beginner-friendly 2D game design platform, students will create games such as puzzles, platformer games, racing games, and interactive stories while learning the basics of game design and coding.

Suggested grades: Rising grades 5-8

Dates: July 20-23, Monday-Thursday

Young Explorers Camps (Rising 3rd–5th Graders)

Smart City Air Rescue

Campers will explore the world of aviation through hands-on activities and interactive challenges in the AT&T Classroom and the College of Aeronautics and Engineering (CAE). Throughout the week, students will learn how airplanes fly, how pilots navigate and how engineers design aircraft using age-appropriate technology, simulations and engineering tools.

Smart City Robo Rescue

What if robots could rescue pets, clean the environment and make our cities safer? In Smart City Robo Rescue, campers explore that question by designing their own smart city using LEGO Spike robots, Ozobots, Merge Cubes and 3D-printed creations, then bring it all together in an exciting showcase!

Upward Bound Summer Institute 

Upward Bound is a federal TRIO program funded by the U. S. Department of Education.

Pre-College/TRIO Upward Bound programs include three federal TRIO Upward Bound programs that seek to increase educational opportunities and diminish barriers for first-generation, low income students and families through comprehensive services in targeted school districts.

There are three Upward Bound programs at 91��Ƭ��: Classic, Math Science, and Health Professions. TRIO programs help students overcome, class, social, academic and cultural barriers to higher education.

Peak Summer Camp

The PEAK Summer Camp is designed for children 6 - 12 years of age and is an American Camp Association Accredited Camp. Each session is facilitated by highly motivated and energetic students and professionals.

Campers can expect a wide variety of activities, crafts, and games based around weekly themes, that will keep them engaged and active with campers in their age group. Utilizing several of the facilities that are operated by RecWell, we strive to offer something that every camper can enjoy.

This summer, PEAK will be offering 8 weekly sessions beginning in June, and ending in August, with no camp during the week of July 4th.

We will utilize many Recreation and Wellness Services (RecWell) facilities during PEAK, to provide a wide variety of activities and programming, but we will mainly use the Warren Student Recreation and Wellness Center (SRWC) as the “home base” for PEAK.

Sports Camps (All Ages)

 provide opportunities for athletes of all ages to develop their skills in a fun, sportsmanlike environment. In addition to fundamental instruction, campers will be exposed to sport-specific strategies and will have the chance to meet new people. Sports include baseball, cheerleading, field hockey, football, golf, gymnastics, lacrosse, baseball, soccer, softball, track, volleyball, wrestling, and more.

Architecture Exploration Program
91��Ƭ�� University
College of Architecture and Environmental Design
July 12 - 24, 2026

The Architecture Exploration Program (AEP) at College of Architecture & Environmental Design at 91��Ƭ�� University is developed to introduce college level design education for high school students. The intensive two-week program will take place on the Kent campus July 12 - 24, 2026 and offers rigorous individual instruction by CAED faculty. The explorations developed during the summer provide individual students with high quality design projects.

The focus of the program is the Design Studio experience that challenges high school education and responds to creativity investigation into studio culture for passion in design discipline. The program constructs confidence and imaginative aspirations that transform each student’s understanding of the built environment. During the two-week course the student will learn to draw and model their ideas through the intellectual process of making.

The studio will take field trips to some of the best museums and historic sites in the city and explore the dynamic art and design scenes of Cleveland and Akron including award-winning architecture firms, Cleveland Art Museum, Contemporary Art Museum of Cleveland, and the Akron Art Museum.
