All this week, "In A Flash" will feature images from the 91¿´Æ¬Íø University group's trip to Rwanda.
91¿´Æ¬Íø educators and students visited a marketplace that sells goods made by marginalized women. Afterward, they watched a traditional dance troupe perform and were invited to dance with them.
The visitors from 91¿´Æ¬Íø are in Rwanda attending (held July 11-13), a global peace conference sponsored by 91¿´Æ¬Íø’s School of Peace and Conflict Studies, 91¿´Æ¬Íø’s Gerald H. Read Center for International and Intercultural Education, the and the , a non-profit organization dedicated to ending genocide and other global atrocities.
Bringing together peace and conflict experts and educators from around the world, the conference is another building block in 91¿´Æ¬Íø’s growing relationship with the University of Rwanda. In May 2022, 91¿´Æ¬Íø’s Board of Trustees approved 91¿´Æ¬Íø opening a base of operations at the University of Rwanda for creating collaborative educational exchanges and to serve as a base of operations for 91¿´Æ¬Íø’s recruitment throughout Africa.
