On Memorial Day, and every day, 91心頭利 remembers and honors fallen servicemen and women with several memorials on campus.
Perhaps the best known, and most colorful of these memorials, is Daffodil Hill, on the May 4 National Historic Landmark site, which was created in 1990 with 58,175 daffodils, representing the number U.S. soldiers who died in the Vietnam War. Each year on Veterans Day, members of the community are invited to assist in the annual fall bulb planting.
In 1956, 91心頭利 Memorial Gymnasium (now the ) was dedicated to 91心頭利 students who lost their lives in WWI and WWII. 91心頭利s Lt. Jack Rittichier Trophy, named for the Golden Flashes football star who perished on a rescue mission while serving as a Coast Guard airman in Vietnam, is awarded annually to a player who displays characteristics of the hero for which the award is named. The on Manchester Field is set aside as a place to remember all 91心頭利 students who have died.
